Minnesota Twins' Orlando Hudson: Baseball shuns black veteran players

I really want to know what Hudson had to say about the situation. Why hold back? Tori Hunter didn't. ;-)

Minnesota Twins' Orlando Hudson: Baseball shuns black veteran players: "Using out-of-work outfielder Jermaine Dye as the basis of his point, Twins second baseman Orlando Hudson suggested that baseball's free-agent market turns its back on aging black players."

I love Ginobili....love him to death....But

Reports say that the Spurs are looking to give Ginobili a 3-year contract worth 40 million.  The price is not what I have an issue with, it's the years.  3 years is way too long to give a 32 year old wing player who has a history of injuries slowing him down.

Please don't be drawn in from his recent spectacular play.  He'll burn you

By the time the 2012-2013 season comes around, little Georgie Hill will be the only Spurs still around.  Duncan's contract will be up and he'll probably retire.....Tony Parker is aging before our eyes and could be traded before his contract is up in the 2010-2011 season...Even overpriced Richard Jefferson will be gone by then.

3-years no way.....2-years maybe.

This is setting the stage of the Spurs franchise to be bad for a very long time once the Duncan-era is over.

Are you willing to put God first in your life???

I found today's daily devotional at LivePrayer.com very intriguing. It was based on Matthew 19:16-22 when the young rich man asked how he could get to heaven and Jesus told him to sell his possessions and follow him. He didn't tell him that because you can't be rich and go to heaven, he told him that because Jesus knew that he would always place his worldly riches before God and it was keeping him from heaven. Powerful information.

What worldly possessions, people, or feelings may be keeping you from God and his word??

Vancouver, BC, Canada

I just recently made a business trip to Vancouver this past week. It was tons of long hours of work and driving around, but I also got a chance to take in some of the scenery of mountains and waterfalls across the area. Some of the highlights were discovering the Granville St. in downtown Vancouver, the view from Mt. Seymour, driving through North and West Vancouver, signing a waiver to enjoy the hottest hot wings in North America, and checking out the future site of the 2010 Winter Olympic in Whistler, BC, Canada where I got to try out a little bobsledding. ;-)
